Secret Santa Gifts

Hello! I thought I would share with you the gifts that I gave and received for my group of friends Secret Santa! 

My friend Meredith had me and got me a metal wall art plaque with a beautiful quote and a Mr. Tea. Basically, you fill Mr. Tea's silicone pants with loose tea, place him in your tea cup, and watch him relax as he steeps your tea. I AM SO EXCITED TO USE THIS. It is not only adorable but also so convenient.


I actually had my roommate as my assigned person so I was quite excited to get creative, knowing all her obsessions. I got her a dress from Forever 21 (which she definitely needs because she has surprisingly a low amount of dresses [compared to my 50] in her wardrobe). It is a cute retro dots skater dress in black and white. I also got her this Josh Hutcherson as Peeta from Catching Fire poster for her wall in our dorm. I also got her some Ghiradelli Peppermint Bark, which is her favorite Christmas sweet :)


Michelle loved her gifts so I was so happy :) I also am so excited for mine! I can't wait to share with you what I get my siblings, my parents, and my friends at home!

DIY Crafts: Notebook & Mason Jars

Hello there!  So lately I have become addicted to Pinterest (again). As I am preparing to go back to school, I have been feeling really inspired to try out some DIY projects for my dorm! 1) This first DIY is to spruce up a regular old spiral notebook and make it awesome.  I got the idea from a pin of Melisa from  Pie 'N' The Sky 's triangle love notebook. When I saw it, I immediately thought, I can do that - I should give it a whirl! All you need is... - a notebook (mine had a plain black cover and was $1 from Target) - glue (I used Rubber Cement but a glue stick would work perfectly fine as well) - scissors - photos / magazine clippings / cardboard ** - Mod Podge and a brush  ** I used snippings from National Geographic, Vogue, and Seventeen, as well as construction paper to write lyrics from my fav song. I also took my 'Mylo Xyloto' Coldplay album and cut a pattern from the insert in the CD with photos of them playing at concerts.  N

Recipe | Watermelon Rice Krispies

June is here which means SUMMER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! I can't wait to make fun summer inspired recipes for the next two months before I leave for England. I will share as much as I can with you and hopefully inspire you to try these out as well. My little sister and I saw Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi do these awesome watermelon inspired Rice Krispie treats in one of her most recent videos and we immediately knew we had to make them! She made a very healthy version but we knew our brothers and our dad would want to eat these so we went old school and used the traditional marshmallows and butter routine :) Ingrid always posts really yummy and exciting recipes that I definitely want to try. Flower Love

My little sister Mary, who is almost 13, makes headbands, bows, and clips for her hair out of cut material from old shirts and cheap fake flowers from the store... and they are amazing !! She is already a beauty/fashion guru in the making. I feel so inspired by her to be more creative with styling my hair, while saving a bit of money :) So here are some photos of her clips and headbands: Flower Love was inspired by a photo we saw on Pinterest*. She immediately wanted to recreate the look with a fishtail braid when we saw it because she just bought some daisies that looked quite similar. Here's me casually sitting in some grass modeling her work... (Secret: I was actually wearing boxer shorts underneath this dress and a car filled with attractive guys  drove by...
