Paris is Always a Good Idea

Hello! 
As October comes to an end, I have been reflecting on how busy this month has been. I kicked off my October with five days in France, which is what the whole post will highlight. The next five days were spent in Ireland (see here). I returned to London only to go to Ely the next weekend and then Bath this past weekend. I am exhausted, to say the least, but excited to spend my Halloween in London! I hope you enjoy these photos and little stories :)

My friends Michelle and Sarah and I spent the day in Versailles one day. It was so grand!
Here is Michelle hitting my friend Ahmad... I don't remember exactly why but he definitely deserved it.

We spent one lovely afternoon in the famous Père Lachaise Cemetery to see the graves of Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison (shown below), and Oscar Wilde (shown above).

We were walking to Notre Dame when I heard some Irish music. I looked around and spotted this street performer, Rob, playing on his fiddle. I went up to him and said, "I'm an Irish dancer, I heard the music and freaked out" :) He insisted that I dance for him and so I did a treble reel and we got quite a crowd. He was so lovely. He had just moved to Paris from Dublin.

 I took over 3000 photos my entire Fall Break so these are just some of my favorites. 
I hope you enjoyed :) I am so happy that I have the opportunity to travel whilst I study abroad in England. I am so excited because I am going to Amsterdam for my birthday in a couple weeks! A post will definitely be made on that.

    Great photos, looks like you had a blast. I went to Paris last year and it is my fav city in the world thus far...and that is after visiting Barcelona, Venice, Rome, L.A, and Honolulu this year. I can't wait to go back!

DIY Crafts: Notebook & Mason Jars

Hello there!  So lately I have become addicted to Pinterest (again). As I am preparing to go back to school, I have been feeling really inspired to try out some DIY projects for my dorm! 1) This first DIY is to spruce up a regular old spiral notebook and make it awesome.  I got the idea from a pin of Melisa from  Pie 'N' The Sky 's triangle love notebook. When I saw it, I immediately thought, I can do that - I should give it a whirl! All you need is... - a notebook (mine had a plain black cover and was $1 from Target) - glue (I used Rubber Cement but a glue stick would work perfectly fine as well) - scissors - photos / magazine clippings / cardboard ** - Mod Podge and a brush  ** I used snippings from National Geographic, Vogue, and Seventeen, as well as construction paper to write lyrics from my fav song. I also took my 'Mylo Xyloto' Coldplay album and cut a pattern from the insert in the CD with photos of them playing at concerts.  N

Recipe | Watermelon Rice Krispies

June is here which means SUMMER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! I can't wait to make fun summer inspired recipes for the next two months before I leave for England. I will share as much as I can with you and hopefully inspire you to try these out as well. My little sister and I saw Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi do these awesome watermelon inspired Rice Krispie treats in one of her most recent videos and we immediately knew we had to make them! She made a very healthy version but we knew our brothers and our dad would want to eat these so we went old school and used the traditional marshmallows and butter routine :) Ingrid always posts really yummy and exciting recipes that I definitely want to try. Flower Love

My little sister Mary, who is almost 13, makes headbands, bows, and clips for her hair out of cut material from old shirts and cheap fake flowers from the store... and they are amazing !! She is already a beauty/fashion guru in the making. I feel so inspired by her to be more creative with styling my hair, while saving a bit of money :) So here are some photos of her clips and headbands: Flower Love was inspired by a photo we saw on Pinterest*. She immediately wanted to recreate the look with a fishtail braid when we saw it because she just bought some daisies that looked quite similar. Here's me casually sitting in some grass modeling her work... (Secret: I was actually wearing boxer shorts underneath this dress and a car filled with attractive guys  drove by... I was kind of maybe a bit mortified because when standing you could definitely see the boxers. Needless to say, we ran and hid).
